What shall I bring to wear?
Bequia is a very informal island, it’s also warm pretty much 24/7, 365 days a year. Therefore the answer is not too much! Shorts, t-shirts, swimwear, linen clothing for the evening, maybe with a light sweater.

A lightweight waterproof jacket may be handy for the sudden downpours that occur and the odd ‘rogue’ wave!

It is important to note that suitcases are not advisable. Please pack in foldable luggage for easy stowage aboard, and on the small island hopper planes from Barbados.

I haven’t sailed before, does that matter?
Absolutely not! “Spirit of Bequia” is perfect for novices, she has fantastic sea handling characteristics, which makes her perfect at anchor while you have sunset drinks and dinner, and whilst under sail, her hull cuts through the water in an effortless manner, ensuring everyone on board enjoys themselves.

Can we just charter “Spirit of Bequia” for two?
Absolutely! If it’s a romantic honeymoon, or special anniversary, then we will ensure you the privacy and discretion that you require from your skipper. Once safely anchored in your own private bay, he’ll more than likely take the tender ashore for a few hours! Our rates on “Spirit of Bequia” are based on the duration of your stay, not per person.

We have two children, is that ok?
We love children, and we want them to learn about sailing and island cultures in a safe and controlled way. “Spirit of Bequia” is totally suitable for a family of four, with the parents having the opulent aft stateroom, and the children in the bow room, with their own heads and washing facilities.

We do however strongly advise that all family members are competent swimmers, and at least one responsible for fully understanding the MOB (man overboard) drill procedure.
